A team from the United States came to help after Hurricane Matthew and found minimal damage to the property and building at IIT Haiti. A tree in the front yard was damaged and had to be cut down. IIT Haiti team members taught special classes on desktop publishing, internet safety, and Adobe Photoshop in a recent visit to Haiti. A New School Partnership

IIT Haiti is proud to announce another new partnership with a local school near Simon, in the town of Bambou. Principal Philistin Chrisnel gave the IIT Haiti team a tour of his school in Bambou of over 100 students. Like most elementary schools in Haiti, the classrooms are small and most have only wooden benches and older chalkboards with no electricity. Father and Son Visit to IIT Haiti

Over Thanksgiving week, IIT Haiti team member Tim Kaufmann visited with his son, Jonah. It was Jonah’s first visit to Haiti. Jonah’s main work in Haiti was to distribute 125 hygiene kits at two hospitals in Les Cayes. He was also able to visit IIT Haiti in Simon.
